♥ This morning I read an article on the a famous designer, Valentino. Valentino was known for dressing Jacqueline Kennedy for her wedding to Aristotle Onassis. He also spiffed the look of once shy Princess Diana and he also outfitted Julia Roberts the night she took home the Oscar. Last week, designer Valentino Garavani marked 45 years in fashion with a gala three-day celebration in Rome. Rome is also the city where he actually began his career. Top models came, such as Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, and Elizabeth Hurley. Attending actresses included Uma Thurman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, and Gina Lollabrigida, a longtime friend of Valentino. Mick Jagger and Lance Armstrong were also there. Events included the opening of a retrospective of Valentino’s work, scheduled to be on view through October. It includes more than 200 outfits, along with accessories. Valentino also presented his fall/winter couture collection. It was the first time in Rome in 17 years and held a gala ball for more than 1,000 guests. Valentino is 75 years old and there have been rumors of his retirement, but raves about his latest collection. There are some fashion editors who are calling it, his best collection yet.

Horoscopes
Today again I read about the horoscopes. Even though it is from yesterday it is better than reading an article. In it, it said that I am mixing with people that have just as many questions as I do, if not even more. Also that every person I meet will have one answer. In todays horoscope it says that I shouldn’t let my creativity go to waste today -- get out and start doing something! it also says that I am committed to seeing this action all the way to the end, but I also understand the importance of giving myself a little creative leeway. Other people may not get it, but they don't need to: You know it works.
I think that these two horoscopes are really good and I think that I should do my blogs on the horoscopes every day. It helps me to kind of set a goal for the day and motivate me.
One interesting thing that I found out today is that the people that I am mixing with are also like me they have as many questions as I do.
"'Los Angeles archdiocese will settle abuse suits"
♥The Archdiocese of Los Angeles will pan an estimated $660 million to more then 500 victims of child sexual abuse by clergy. It is the largest nationwide since Roman catholic scandal erupted in the year of 2002. It leaves San Diego with the greatest numbers of unresolved sexual abuse claims. It had became the largest around February, which had lead to bankruptcy protection rather then going to trial on the lawsuits. A joint announcements about the situations that are occurring in Los Angeles will be released today. There will be issues and details discussed in the superior court tomorrow. The first of the civil abuse lawsuits is scheduled to begin tomorrow. More then 500 other lawsuits that were against the “archdiocese” had remained unresolved. When most of the lawsuits were generated by the state law that “in 2003 revoked for one year that statute of limitations for reporting sex abuse”

Shots in the dark
Prior to the night he shot and nearly killed two burglars, Chris Drake liked his firearms within reach. 20 miles north of Santa Ysabel on state Highway 79, he and his wife own a general store. The Sunshine Summit General Store is located in a neighborhood of 260 people. It sells anything from lawn tools and hats to cigarettes and hard liquor. On that day, it counted to be the 4th time that store has been burgled since 2001. Drake at age 48 owns several guns like many of the Northern San Diego residents there. As a business owner, he says, he wouldn’t feel right without a pistol tucked into his waistband. “I don't think there could be a level of comfort without being armed,” said Drake. Before March 6, he had never so much as pointed his shotgun or three handguns in the direction of another human being.

I think that what this man did was right because he was standing up to what he believed was right. If somebody tried to rob my store if I had one, I would have done the same. I don’t think he should be blamed for these actions.
This morning is red an article titled Argument may have led to man’s fatal stabbing. In the Chollas creek neighborhood, police found a man stabbed to death on an apartment balcony early yesterday. He had been seen in dispute with another man. Police responded to an apartment complex on Wightman Street near 50th street. They arrived at 2:45 after receiving information that man had been assaulted. Officers found Amos Johnson dead on the second-floor terrace. A witness told police that the was arguing with another man, then he started screaming for help. Police identified Paul Demetrios Rodgers as a “person of interest” in this case. Rodgers drives a 1990 Acura Legend. He is also known to go to Mid-City, Spring Valley, and Chula Vista. He is wanted on parole violation. I though the most interesting fact was that whoever did it, stabbed the man on a balcony and not inside.
Housemaid, 19, faces beheading inSaudi Arabia over dead baby.
In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a 19 year-old housemaid, Rizana Nafeek is on deathrow because the baby she was supposed to be caring for died while bottle feeding him. This seems a little suspicious to me because normally babies will move their head away if they can not breath. Also, babies are supposed to be burped at a certain point. I don't believe that the baby could have died from being fed unless there was something in the bottle. I think that they need to do an investigation on the babies body to see if there are any chemicals in there that shouldn't be there. Rizana will be beheaded for the traditional religion Saudi Arabia believes in. Beheading is the usual punishment in public for murderers, rapists, drug trafickers, and armed robbers. Rizana is being presented in court without a lawyer at her trial.

His wife Erika, states that she sees this as an accident, & that Marcos is a great father, but can not understand why he left his son in the car.
The article I chose to read is titled mark of Cain syndrome by psychologists. This article was about a man named drake who owns a liquor store called the sunshine summit general store. drake has bin a victim of not one but three brake ins. There was one in the year 2006 and another in the year 2005.drake was fed up of all these brake ins. these burglars managed to get away with 11,000 in cigarette, liquor and cash. Drake did not live to far away from his store one night wile him and his wife were asleep they heard the store alarm go of . Drake and his wife sped away in the escalade and once they got to the store they were already gone. but they managed to see what direction they were heading in. drake chased after them he took along a shot gun incase they were armed. He shot at the car he and his wife were shocked and drove of. The next morning they saw the news they had seen that three wounded guys were found on the free way. He was in shock drake was so scared he might have killed one them . They took it to court drake was not charged with anything and the three guys had to serve a great deal of time.
I feel that drake did the right thing although he may have injured some people but he can finally rest in peace .
I thought that drake may have bin kind of traumatized by what he did.
I think that any one will think twice before trying to brake into drakes store.
♣Feds paint dark picture of dogfights on Vick’s property
I read about the dogfights on Michael Vick’s land followed very strict rules. Weighing in just half a pound too much or too little disqualified dogs from matches. Dogs were bathed immediately before fights to make sure their coats were not “tainted” with a drug or poison that might hinder an opponent. Sometimes the dogs were starved to make them more vicious in the pit. For owners and carefully screened spectators, these fights sometimes offered purses worth thousands of dollars. For the dogs, losing could lead to a gruesome execution. Vick has denied any involvement in dog fighting. His lawyer did not respond Friday to a request for an interview. Each fight, according to court records, would “last to the end” the point at which one dog surrendered or died. “At the end of the fight”, court documents say, “the losing dog was sometimes put to death by drowning, strangulation, hanging, gun shot, electrocution or some other method.”
Title: Mexico seeks extradition of drug-making suspect.
In Mexico city, Mexico asked the United States to extradite a suspected narcotics manufacturer who owns a Mexico City mansion where police discovered $206 million in cash earlier this year. The Mexican police raided the mansion and found wads of U.S bank notes in bulging suitcases and overflowing closets. The mansion was owned by Zhenli YeGon. A petition was made to keep YeGon’s detained so they can send him to the United States so they can pick up on new charges for all the bank notes he had in his mansion. Along with YeGon being detained, 7 other people were arrested after the raid in Lomas de Chapultepec. In that same neighborhood, 6 Mercedes-Benz and pistols with silencers were found. Police said that a company that YeGon ran, illegally imported chemicals and that he was setting up a lab to make methamphetamine. In response to all of this, YeGon said that a Mexican government minister from President Felipe Calderon’s National Action Party made him hide the money under threat of death during the last year’s election campaign. Politicians want a congressional investigation to the claim that YeGon did illegal things. Previously, the media made a confirmation that YeGon was in the United States and not in the police’s custody. YeGon is originally from China but is a Mexican citizen now, and he has drug related crimes and possession of illegal firearms. I believe that the Mexican officials had a part of the scandal because if they didn’t it’s only common sense that they would have an opinion about it.
Today I have read a small section of the newspaper. Viva Valentino is the title of this section. Valentino Garavani is a famous clothing designer. H has dressed Jacqueline Kennedy for her wedding to Aristotle Onassis. He dressed up Princess Diana and outfitted Julia Roberts. Last week this famous designer marked 45 years in fashion with a gala three day celebration. The celebration took place in Rome. Valentino began his career in Rome. Many important people were there. Some of the people are: Princess Caroline of Monaco, Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece as well as fashion royalty Tom Ford, Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace and Giorgio Armani. Many top models also came to enjoy the show. This event included mort than 200 outfits along with accessories. Valentino also presented his fall/winter collection. It is the first time he presented this in Rome for 17 years he held a gala for more than 1,000 guests. It seems like this event was really big. I do like some of this his dresses and designs but some of them I would definitely not wear. There are too many feathers.
