This morning i had read about the thousands of people who had auditioned for American Idol. There auditions took place in Qualcomm Stadium yesterday. There was about 12,000 that had auditioned. Many people had went home very sad. They say that probably more then 95% had left SD disappointed. But there were few that were able to see to it the next round. They are leaving SD with smiling faces. And even those that didnt make it are still leaving with their heads held high.
I enjoyed reading this article in the news paper, because it has to do with talent/ music. and i loveeeeeeeeeee music<333 one of my favorite things in the world.<
-Girl, 13, charged with shooting father to death -The article that I read today was about a girl that was thirteen years old. She is being charged of shooting her father to death. It says that she used a shotgun to fatally shoot her father in the head. This happened in Buena Vista, Pennsylvania on early Monday in a home overrun with animals and filth police said. The girl told investigators she used a 12-gauge shotgun to shoot 34-year-old Matthew Booth in the face while he was in bed. A police complaint did not identify a motive in the killing, but her mother, Michelle Fazek, who was separated from Booth, said she had complained several times to county child welfare officials that her daughter and her brother, 14, were living in squalor and that her daughter had been abused. The girl appeared in municipal court late Monday wearing a maroon county jail uniform, her hands and ankles cuffed, where she was charged as an adult with criminal homicide and ordered held without bail. -This article that I read today was very interesting. I would never imagine a thirteen year old girl would shoot her father. Or even that she would be able to use a 12 gauge shotgun. -One interesting thing that I learned was that the girl was charged as an adult and ordered held without bail.
▫Police: Workers asked to pay bump, got bumped off ▫ This morning I read a story on CNN on how an owner of car dealership killed his only employees. He killed his two employees because they kept asking him for a raise. All three are from the eastern Europe nation of Lithuania but had all been lving in Atlanta, Georgia. He shot the two employees last Thursday and turned himself in Saturday. He said he understood what he did was wrong but that he was just under a lot of stress. The killer's cousin said that it did not make any sense because if he was having any money problems that these were the ones that would have helped him. ▫ Interesting... This guy is crazy and it seems as if he doesn't understand that he actually KILLED TWO PEOPLE. He's acting like it was no big deal, just becuase he says he snapped that morning. <33
Does your child need a mood makeover? It is common for kids to have issues such times where they may seem grumpy, sad, mad, or too shy. But at times this can become a real big issue where you need a real expert to help you out. At some points these feelings are said to be a normal part of development. During times of stress it is very common to see your child with mood swings or behavior changes. Situations may also occur in a death in family or some kind of divorce, but the question you should really be asking is my kid suffering? Normal kids going through difficult times as well. But if you ever feel like there is some seriously going on with your child, seeking an opinin from a professional is the best choice. Early treatment of such behavior would give best results to your child. This is a great topic because many parents worry about their child and what is going through their head. At many times the parents might not know what to do, but advice to seek professional help is good advice for the parents and best result to know what wrong with their kid.
The article that I read this morning was titled 2nd graders take on lunch lady. This was about how a group of second graders at William v. Wright elementary complain to the lunch lady about the food that she is serving. These kids were not happy with the food that they were being given so they all decided to write a letter to the lunch lady. The kids voices were heard and they were asked to write another letter suggesting some thing of what they might like to eat for lunch. Some of the kids kind of over did it .two kids requested that they should be served stake and lobster. another child requested to be served chocolate filled panda cookies and chicken cordon blue. Not all of the children's request were answered but the school did decide to change the lunch menu
I thought that some of these kids were a little over the top on the whole situation . I think that these kids handled every thing well. I feel that things were del the right way
In Port St. LUCiE, Florida 9 adoptees, 5 adults and 4 children have been locked like prisoners in their house for over 13 years. None of them had more than a fourth grade education, not even the adults who were in their 20's. Every one of them in the care of Judith Leekin were starving. They were only fed noodles. They never had any medical attention. Their teeth were rotting and most of them could barely even talk. Some were blind, and mentally challenged. Judith often handcuffed them and never allowed them to leave the house. They all have scars on their hands, some have burns. It is said that Judith lived off of the profits that the children brought in from being adopted children. Judith did not have a job. She bought two houses and many cars with the money she received to take care of the children. An 18 year old woman who was under the care of Judith Leekin was abandoned 200 miles away across the state in St. Petersburg at a grocery store. A call was made to the police because she was walking around aimlessly. The 18 year old told police who she lived with and that she was left there after she was told that she was going to go to an amusement park. Leekin told authorities that the 18 year old had run away a year ago. After a while, the police returned and found the rest of the children who had been hiding on Leekins orders. Leekin was arrested at age 62 for 11 charges. The children have never seen a doctor, dentist, school or even leave the house. There were many nights when they were all handcuffed at night and soiled themselves because they were not allowed to use the bathroom. They were only fed noodles, which would eventually lead them to their deaths. Everyone in the neighborhood were shocked because they all thought Judith Leekins was a very nice lady. They never heard hollering or screaming. Information on any other kids that have been adopted by Leekins cannot be found because pingerprints were not permitted for adoption until 1999.
This article was very shocking to me because i have heard about people using the money to help themselves out, but i never knew someone could take it so far. Judith bought everything that she wanted for herself. She bought 2 houses and many cars. I don't understand how she can stand living in a house for decades torturing children all day and night. Since she is arrested under 11 charges, she should be in jail for life. Hopefully these adopted children will get the attention they need, grow stronger and become something better from this. They did not deserve to be treated this way, they were adopted to live a better life than they had lived before, but in the end they got the worst. Now that they are free, i hope they can gain strength and become something positive out of this.
12,000 people auditioned at Qualcomm Stadium yesterday, some to find their heart broken. Around 95 percent of them left disappointed, some vowing to try again. Yesterday’s auditions were the first for there year, the beginning of the 7th season airing in January. There will be auditions in Dallas, Omaha, Nebraska, S.C., and Philadelphia this weekend. People were told 5 a.m. that it’s a talent show that is being aired. Many people were lining up a few hours before. Mayor Jerry Sanders was the one there to cut the opening ceremonial ribbon. After that he started walking around with a bullhorn telling everybody to act like their glad to be here. At 9:45 a.m., people were ushered 4 at a time to all the 13 stations. They were to sing in a group for 30 seconds before the decision was made. I agree with all this publicity because San Diego brings people from all over the world and this is a new thing here. I think that the city will make a lot of money with the economy due to all these visitors. I like that the news was there reporting on the people that were singing and waiting in line. Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley is a perfect setting for the American Idol in San Diego.
This morning I read two articles. The first was titled Owners Want Their Beach. In Coronado, two neighbors are struggling to keep the small beaches that they had created by moving rocks from the front of their bay front homes. The Regional Water Quality Control Board ordered the property owners to return the rocks, concrete, and debris that was used to stabilize the water's edge. The property owners appealed the order. The second article was titled Witness Testifies About Liquor Store Deaths. In El Cajon, a man bragged to his girlfriend and others about killing a store owner and an employee in a robbery. He claimed to have killed them because they unmasked him and declined to open a safe. Jean Pierre Rices of El Cajon, and Anthony Miller of Alpine are charged with the murders of Heather Nabil Mattia and Firas Washid Eiso. I thought the most interesting fact was that the guy was bragging to anyone about the murder.
Title: Witness testifies about liquor store deaths.
8 Sentence Summary: In El Cajon a African American male was bragging to his girlfriend and a few other people that he had killed a liquor store owner and employee. The reason why he did so was because they had unmasked him and didn’t want to open the safe. Witnesses that were against the male testified yesterday at court. Jean Pierre Rices of El Cajon and Anthony Miller of Alpine are being charged with murder . They murdered two people; Heather Mattia and Faris Eiso on March 1, 2006. This took place at the Granada Liquor Store which was a liquor store that Heather’s family owned. Rices and Miller were arrested in November of 2006 when the police received a tip on who the murderers were. Debbie Mays was Rices’ girlfriend at the time of the shooting and yesterday she was testifying against him and told the court about a shooting that happened in May of 2006 at a barbeque. Mays said that Rices was complaining about how he didn’t have any money and tried to get her to become a prostitute to make money. Mays said Rices told her he “just wanted what was in the safe” and didn’t want to hurt anyone.
3 Sentence Reflection: I don’t think that it’s fair for Mays to be a rat because some crucial things can happen to her if Rices and Miller are both gang related. I also believe that it’s relieving to Mattia’s and Eiso’s families to finally know who their killers were. I also think that the agents are doing a bad job by taking so long to find suspects.
Today I have read a story called I survived a plane crash. This story is about a couple they are very busy people. She works at a children's hospital and goes to school and he is a pilot for the military. They both don’t really have much time. They decided to plant a trip so they could relax, a two week trip. So they went on a island resort . On May 8 they took a early flight to the capital, Port Vila. They took off in a small plane with 10 other people. They were sitting all the way in the back of the plane. Everything seemed fine until they started to descend. The weather turned bad and they couldn’t see anything. With no warning the plane turned left then right. Then they crashed into something. They took of their seatbelts and went for the exit. As they exited they found out they landed in the ocean. They started to swim away and the plane sank. Eight people got out of the plane. One of them didn’t know how to swim so he immediately drowned. There were only three life jackets and she wanted one but did want to ask for one. The storm kept getting worse and they kept calling out each others names to make sure they were still there. They kept swimming for four hours going toward a light in that period of time they lost two other people. The plane crashed at 7:20 pm by the time they go to the beach it was 1:30 pm. They finally got help form a house on the beach. Weeks later their bodies were pealing because they were swimming in petroleum. When she got home her hormones were going crazy she thought because of the accident. Then one day she decided to take a pregnancy test and it was positive. Then she realized that she had every thing to keep swimming for even a child she didn’t even know about. I think that this story is very touching. I think that everything happens for a reason and that the ending to this story is great.
