The San Diego union tribune
To-do list may cost the city $5 billion
Today I read about the reparations and improvements for the city. Since I couldn’t do my blog on the horoscopes. Because it’s the same paper I had to do it on a boring story. In the article it said that there is a debate for upgrading the sewage plant. There are also other environmental items piling up on the city’s to do list. It says that the projects could top $5 billion. The city is addressing drinking water, storm water, wastewater, garbage, endangered species, and conservation of open space. A professor at UCSD says that we have been living on the cheap for 30 years and the bill is now coming due. His name for the scenario is politically deferred maintenance.
I think that this is a big situation and I think that they should take this little by little for us to get the best out of it. This will probably serve as an example and hopefully they can learn a lesson from this for the future.
One thing that I learned is that politicians have been ignoring this problem for thirty years and now it is back lashing to us and they cant afford it. Also that they have ignored it because it is out of the publics eye and they just do things so they can get more publicity and not because it is the right thing to do.
HE’S LOW-PROFILE NO LONGER
Sunroad’s reclusive owner speaks out
For the last 30 years, Aaron Feldman spent most of his time taking care of his company and doing it quiet enough to not be noticed by the public. Finally, after all this time, he got caught. The way Feldman got caught was the new high-rise next to a busy airport. The building violated federal height limits due to being built 20 feet too high. This began to draw unwanted attention. More questions for the builder came up when Major Jerry Sanders finally ordered last month that the top floors need to be torn down. Although Sanders knew about the problem 8 months prior, it took him this long to do something about it. Feldman, a Mexican citizen, is worth as much as half a billion dollars.
I think this guy should have thought about what could happen for building the Sunroad too high. Feldman should have never added those stories in there if he knew there wasn’t going to be enough space. I agree with the writer of this column because they back up the sides of all the people affected by this outcome.

6 SENTENCE SUMMARY:
I enjoyed going to the museum and looking at the weapons they used at combat. I also liked listening to the speaker’s story because in some way I was able to relate to his situation. He was able to tell a story that happened to him, that nobody else could say they went through the same. I could tell that it was hard for the speaker to retell the story of what happened to him when he was at camp because his eyes were getting teary but he was keeping it in. I also enjoyed looking at the paintings because they can tell a tall story and were very graphic. I also liked reading about the Pearl Harbor.

Six sentence summary.
I liked the museum experience. I liked looking at all the thing that they had. I specially liked looking at the clothes that the military men used. I think that the clothes they used is attractive. I specially liked the camouflage ones. I think that it was a nice place to go. It was very calm inside. I really liked the story we heard form the speaker. He went thru a lot even though he wasn’t even the one fighting. I think about all of those people in Iraq they have nothing to do with the insurgents yet they are getting killed for no reason. That makes me really sad. It also made me feel sad when the man was talking about what they used to do to get a little something to eat. I feel people don’t appreciate the things they have. I believe that his story helped me learn to appreciate the food I eat and my house a lot more.
