Saturn Turns 60
A spacecraft traveling in space found Saturn at it’s 60th. Not 60 years of age, but they have now found the 60th moon circulating Saturn. Wow sixty is a big number. Imagine a planet with 60 moons. I wonder how much light must show from all the moons it must be real bright, almost making night look like day. But why would a planet need so much moons? And where are they all coming from? The spacecraft who found the new moon stated that it as not in their intention to discover the moon. They were simply being aware of anything they could of crashed into. Another thing that was also stated was that the discovery of new moons can help scene for future experiments. The new moon is about 1.2 miles wide and is made up of mainly ice and rock. It’s new name is presently, Frank, and discovered by Cassini and imaging team. I find the atmosphere and our galaxy very amusing so whenever I hear something new that has to do with outer space, it attracts my attention right away. But one thing that I do hope to do one day is to visit space itself, and learn more about it. Also I wonder how it is that new moons produce?
This morning I read an article titled Superior Court judge retires after 22 years. Last Wednesday, Superior Court Officials declared that Judge Lillian Y. Lim has retired after almost 22 years on the bench. In 1986, Lim was assigned to the San Diego Municipal Court by Governor George Duekmejian. In 1998 she became a Superior court judge. Previously, for nine years, Lim worked as a deputy attorney general for the state Department of Justice. Part of those nine years she spent working for the Medi-Cal fraud unit. Lim has also served as President of the California Asian Judges Association and has also been an active member of many organizations which include, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of California and Filipino-American Lawyers of San Diego. I thought the most interesting fact was that she was so involved with different organizations. I think that she has accomplished enough to retire.
Today I read an article on cnn.com. This article was titled sexually suspect that panda gives birth to twins. This article was about reserves research center and how they tried to mate a panda who they suspected to be a male . They have bin at this experiment to reproduce more pandas as of the year 2000 but did not succeed. They then thought that the two pandas they put to mate did not find interest in each other so they gave up. later they then found out that the panda they brought to mate with the female panda was not a male. They then found out that this panda was a female .her ovaries were just in the wrong place. They gave her a two hour operation to make her a normal female panda. they then continued with there study they mated the panda with a female panda in march of 2007 and she successfully gave birth 142 days later.
The panda gave birth to twin baby pandas and there study was a success.
I thought that was very odd how the panda was thought to be a male.
I think that out of the two baby's there will be more baby pandas to come.
I feel that this was a very interesting article.

▫ Amputees Agrees To Stop Driving In Face of Prison Time
▫ Triple amutee Michael Francis Wiley says that at one time he was thoroughly tested by the Department of Motor Vehicles and he passed with flying colors. On that point, authorities agree. His clashed with authorities over his driving habits date back two decades. Wiley once had a valid licence, but it has been suspended several times for motor vehivle and drug infractions. Wiley said he turned to drugs- prescription and illegal - to numb the chronic pain. H ehas been accused of crimes ranging from sneaking drugs into jail in his prosthetic leg and possessing marijuana while driving to kicking a Florida Highway Patrol officer investigating a crash. He has 12 convictions for felony driving with a suspended license since 1996, according to Florida Department of Corrections records.
▫ Interesting fact: Triple amputee Michael Wiley, is facing prison for traffic and drug charges and says that this will be turning in his keys to his car after two decades of legal disputes.
Rescuers drill 2 wholes to save miners.
Today I have read a article story in the newspaper. In Huntington Utah, rescue crew were clinging to a mountain side to drill two narrow wholes so they could give air and some food to six miners trapped in a cave. This happened on Monday. They were trapped in there and everyone hoped that the emergency supplies would keep them alive until they were able to get to them. The company said that crews could brake thru in 48 hours or sooner. They were dealing with the unknown due to the fact that they did not know if any equipment had been damaged. It would take at leas 7 days to reach the men. They were scared that instead of drilling on rock they would drill on coal but that was a big possibility. The process of removing pieces form the blocked mine took a step back on Tuesday when the shocks wiped out the progress they had done. They are worried that the oxygen is not enough. I hope that they will come out alive. It is a dangerous job and they are very brave for doing that job.
